PAST WORK
Eugenia Vereli is a visual artist whose work explores themes of mythology, folklore, and contemporary life. She works primarily with ceramics and drawing on paper, using these mediums to create narratives that reflect on society’s imperfections, pleasures, and complexities. Eugenia completed her Master’s degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art. She holds a first degree from the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. Her solo exhibition, "As a Dog: A Fierce Hunt for the Passing Vehicle", was held at the Allouche Benias gallery. She also curated "Who's Afraid of Komodo" at the same gallery. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including "Mr. Robinson Crusoe Stayed at Home: Design Adventures in Crisis", curated by Polina Kosmadakis and Kostis Velonis at the Benaki Museum in Athens. Other notable exhibitions include "Eclipse", part of the Athens Biennale curated by Poka Yo, Larry Ossei Mensah, and Omsk Social Club, with the support of the Onassis Foundation, as well as "Performative Transcending Somatic Dinner", curated by Giorgos Bekirakis. Eugenia has also been part of "All Things Become Islands Before My Senses", curated by Burcu Fikretoğlu and Gizem Naz Kudunoğlu, at Perasma in Leros, Greece; "Time is a Child", curated by Burcu Fikretoğlu at Galerist Gallery and Perasma in Leros, Greece; "From Off My Countenance, These Glassy Tears", curated by Burcu Fikretoğlu at ArtOn Gallery in Istanbul, Turkey; and "Bodies in Motion", curated by Odette Kouzou at Project Space Alkinois in Athens, Greece.
