PAST WORK
Niki Soumpassis studied German Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, continuing with an MA in Gender Studies at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, and is currently completing the MA 'Architectural design - Space - Culture'. Her research was published in 'Nation and Gender in Crisis, Masculinities take center stage' (ed. Alexandra Halkias), futura publications. Her short films have been screened at the Biennial Meeting of the Society for Cultural Anthropology - Johns Hopkins University, the Athens Festival of Queer Performance, and she recently participated in the Ethnofest Summer School in Visual Ethnographic Practices. She is interested in research practices which combine anthropology and film. She lives and works in Athens.
